To be able to produce a component cost efficient and with high quality it is important to incorporate manufacturing aspects as early as possible in the product development, preferably already in the prototype phase. Fundo has long and extensive experience in the optimisation of components for casting and machining. In this work, we mainly use the CAD program SolidWorks and MAGMA for casting simulation. We can simulate the production of sand cores as well as the at Fundo used casting methods sand casting, tilt casting and low pressure die casting.
