In our department for prototypes and low-volume production there is a complete hand moulding foundry for casting weights up to just over 50 kg in cold-hardening sand or 3D-printed sand. All alloys used at Fundo can also be used in sand casting. However, the strength properties will be slightly lower in sand casting compared to permanent mould casting due to the lower solidification rate.
